Tommy Moore hails from an extended family of famous Irish and internationally renowned professional musicians, including show-band legend Butch Moore and premier session guitarist Des Moore.
Tommy himself is no stranger to the recording studio having performed in numerous sessions across a diverse range of musical genres on Ireland’s national radio station Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE)
He has also recorded and/or toured with internationally established artistes such as Paul Brady, Mary Coughlan, Christy Moore, Ronnie Drew, Philip Donnelly, Bill Whelan (of ‘Riverdance’ fame)... and played bass on the Johnny Logan Eurovision winner ''What's Another Year'' and in the original Irish production of ''Jesus Christ Superstar''
Somehow, alongside his studio/theatre/ TV and Radio/ work, he managed to find time to teach ‘Bass and Aural skills’ in Dublin’s “Senior College” in Ballyfermot for 25 years...
But Tommy’s heart has always been in ‘live’ stage work and, alongside fellow Stagalee guitarist Greg Boland, he remains a true stalwart of the live music scene in Dublin, working in several popular bands such as ''Left Right and Centre” with Dublin legends Noel Bridgeman on drums and Ed Deane on guitar.... Exciting and thunderous classic rock group '' Badge''... and highly rated and sophisticated Steely Dan tribute band ''Aja''.
